Reports
President – Tristen and Corrie have applied for two grants for the school grounds. A representative from the P&C was invited and Tristen attended a Port Stephens Council Community Workshop where matters such as Traffic Calming around schools and pedestrian walkways in Port Stephens (specifically all schools including ours and walkways in the Nelson Bay CBD) was raised by Tristen. Tristen noted that “Doin’ it for the Kids” was held last weekend. After over four weeks of exposure, and no negative feedback, only positive feedback, the Creative Play Spaces Concept Plans are now taken to be accepted and adopted.
Seconded - Ruth
Principal – A number of programmes for 2013 – Interrelate for stage 2/3. A date of Tuesday May 21 was discussed and Footsteps was to take place. A reminder that the 2012 Parent Satisfaction survey closes November 20 and 64 parents have so far responded. Creative Playspaces – We have two quotes for the Engineers Report for the next step in the project and a quote for $4,000 has been accepted over the quote for around $10,000. Funding is invited from the P&C.
Simon reminded us about the Year 6 Graduation, Celebration Day and Tea and Tissues.

General Business
· Joy Shotter, School Chaplain, explained how she was required to report to the department in charge of her role and Tristen Cosgrove was happy to accommodate that request. We heard how Joy was going and this was overall very positive and Joy noted that moral development comes from the home.
· It was discussed that we seek to make the P&C section of the newsletter more visually appealing and information more interesting and relevant.
Meeting closed at 9.00 pm. Next meeting - 11 December 2012.
